🧐 What is Death Note: Anime and Manga

Death Note is a Japanese manga series written by Tsugumi Ohba and illustrated by Takeshi Obata. It was published in the Japanese magazine Weekly Shonen Jump from December 2003 to May 2006. The story follows Light Yagami, a high school student who decides to rid the world of evil with the use of a supernatural notebook that kills anyone whose name is written in it. He soon becomes known as Kira, which means “killer” in Japanese. L is a genius, a detective, a prodigy and the closest thing to Batman in anime.

Light Yagami (L), uses this book to kill criminals, but also begins to kill people he deems unworthy of life. The series follows his journey as both sides try to find him and prevent him from killing again.
